Sleeping Lady wins State Environmental and Management Awards
Recipient of Washington Hotel & Lodging Association's
2002 Enviro - Management & Outstanding Manager of the Year Awards
Sleeping Lady has been recognized as the best example of integrating environmental management practices within Washington state's lodging community. The award criteria included documented successes in energy conservation, solid waste reduction, effluents and emissions, water conservation, natural landscaping and environmentally responsible purchasing practices. Sleeping Lady was honored by the Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association at the 4th annual Stars of the Industry ceremony held in conjunction with their annual convention in early October.
Sleeping Lady's Housekeeping Manager, Veronica Escobedo, was honored at the same awards ceremony for her outstanding management and leadership skills. A six year employee, Escobedo displays amazing success in team development, employee retention, expense management and quality service delivery. Her 2002 Outstanding Manager of the Year Award for small lodging properties is well-deserved.
