Paula Helsel, General Manager
Paula Helsel joined Sleeping Lady in 2000 as Assistant General Manager, and took the position of General Manager at the beginning of 2003.
She began her career with Hilton Hotels in Lafayette Louisiana in 1984 as a Guest Service Agent and later was promoted to the Director of Front Office Operations. In 1989 she was recruited for the Regional Director of Operations at the Hilton corporate offices. During her tenure with Hilton she was responsible for 54 hotels in a 14 state region.
Paula left her position with Hilton in 1996 to return to operations with a hotel management company. Based out of Kansas City, she traveled extensively settling in Eugene, Oregon before being recruited to Sleeping Lady in 2000.
She is the Vice President of Icicle Arts and a member of the board of Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association.
