Zainab Salbi, as founder and CEO of Women for Women International, has dedicated her life to providing women survivors of war, civil strife, and other conflicts with the tools and resources needed to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self sufficiency. Ms. Salbi’s memoir, “Between Two Worlds: Escape from Tyranny: Growing Up in the Shadow of Saddam,” is an account of life within Iraq’s elite society and the hold that Saddam Hussein had over her family.- Overnight accommodations for two in a newly updated guest room

Backcountry Skier Package
Enjoy the rustic luxury and superb cuisine of Sleeping Lady and the exhilaration of Alpine Touring the Icicle Valley with Leavenworth based Northwest Mountain School guides.
Folks are constantly surprised by the variety and quality of the alpine ski (AT) tours accessible from the Icicle Creek road in the winter. Many of these tours start at just over 2000 feet, and as a result these ski tours are a bit more weather dependent than tours near Stevens Pass. Endless opportunities exist for hearty souls wishing to get up on Icicle Ridge touring in the Icicle Creek area.
Northwest Mountain School is a small climbing and skiing guide service started in 1994 and run by IFMGA - UIAGM certified guides Olivia Cussen and John Race. We are based in Leavenworth, WA and one of only two married couples in the US to be working together as IFMGA certified guides. We have a combined 26 years of guiding experience and have worked for many large guide services such as Rainier Mountaineering, Inc, International Mountain Guides, and Alpine Ascents International.
Our Backcountry Skier package includes:- Two nights' relaxing accommodations for two
- Two gourmet dinners and two hearty breakfasts, served buffet style in the Kingfisher Dining Lodge
- One full day backcountry skiing with guide service provided by Northwest Mountain School. Guide fee, use of BCA avalanche beacon, shovel and probe are included.
