American Institute of Architects, Top Ten Green Projects, April 2001. In recognition of Earth Day 2001, AIA selected 10 built architectural design solutions to profile. Sleeping Lady was one of the 10 facilities acknowledged for the use of green construction materials, improvement of indoor air quality, reuse of existing structures, energy and water conservation, and low-impact site development; all of which reduce environmental impact and make a positive community contribution.

Governor's Pollution Prevention and Sustainable Practices Award, September 2001 and 2006. Sleeping Lady was one of nine businesses and two government facilities recognized for preventing pollution and using businesses practices that are "sustainable," which means meeting the needs of the business successfully, without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Washington State Hotel & Lodging Association, Enviro-Management Award, October 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Sleeping Lady has been recognized as the best example of integrating environmental management practices within Washington state's lodging community for three consecutive years. The award criteria includes documented successes in energy conservation, solid waste reduction, effluents and emissions, water conservation, natural landscaping and environmentally responsible purchasing practices. Sleeping Lady has been honored by the Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association at their annual Stars of the Industry ceremony held in conjunction with their annual convention.
