Sleeping Lady Foundation Presents an Evening with Stacy Pearsall

Sleeping Lady Foundation is proud to present combat photographer Stacy Pearsall for an evening lecture and photo exhibition, "Shooter: A Woman's Journey in Combat from Behind the Camera".
Stacy Pearsall began her career as a military photographer at the age of seventeen. Pearsall fought through adversity in the military to obtain an elite position in a male dominated unit, Combat Camera. She is one of only two women to win the NPPA Military Photographer of the Year competition and the only one to win it twice. Pearsall plays a pivotal role in changing and writing new policy regarding women veteran’s rights.
Proceeds from this event benefit Leavenworth's Community Project at Ease. Project at Ease will provide several days of “retreat” for selected veterans.

Sleeping Lady Foundation is proud to present Phil Borges for an evening lecture and photo exhibition, "Stirring the Fire, a global movement toward gender equality ". This project introduces some of the extraordinary women in the developing world who are breaking through gender barriers and conventions to enhance their well-being and the well-being of their communities.
For over twenty five years Phil Borges has lived with and documented indigenous and tribal cultures around the world. Through his work, he strives to create a heightened understanding of the issues faced by people in the developing world.
There will be a book signing immediately following the lecture.
Proceeds from this event benefit Rebuilding Together Greater Wenatchee. Rebuilding Together is a non-profit, all-volunteer, local organization that repairs the homes of less-advantaged homeowners, so they may live in a safe, healthy, and warm home.
