The Alpine Lakes Region stretching between Stevens and Snoqualmie Passes from north to south, Mount Si and Mission Ridge from east to west, and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area is known for its glacier scoured crags, castle-like crags and pristine lakes.

Sleeping Lady on the banks of Icicle Creek and adjacent to the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery becomes the ultimate base-camp for birding. Icicle Creek and the Hatchery are two of seven sites in the area, selected by Audubon as some of the best birding hotspots in the state.
Look for osprey divebombing the Wenatchee River in Tumwater Canyon, Common Mergansers and American Dippers in Icicle Creek near the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery or Downy Woodpeckers hacking away at snags in Waterfront Park. The Wenatchee River is a great introductory river rafting trip for those who know they'll enjoy the 'rollercoaster' waves that make up the Wenatchee's rapids and who aren't afraid of getting wet. The Wenatchee River is sixteen miles long, the majority of which is flatwater, and the rapids are Class III whitewater that never disappoint. The Wenatchee River flows out of Tumwater Canyon and the North Cascades and through the second most visited attraction in Washington --- Leavenworth, the unique Bavarian-style village.

Tube Leavenworth is a family owned and operated business (with lots of support from our friends!) based in Leavenworth, Washington. They operate during late summer when the weather is hot and sunny and the water levels are low and safe. This makes for a refreshing, fun, and safe trip.

Rock Climbing Package

Enjoy the rustic luxury and superb cuisine of Sleeping Lady and single or multi-pitch rock climbs in Icicle Creek Canyon.
Northwest Mountain School’s private courses can be tailored to climbers of all abilities including beginners, or those with well developed climbing skills. Many of the Pacific Northwest's most classic rock climbs are located within a few minutes of all the comforts of Sleeping Lady. The guides at the Northwest Mountain School can schedule your day around meals, and will meet you at the Sleeping Lady, making for a relaxed pace.
Northwest Mountain School is a small climbing and skiing guide service started in 1994 and run by IFMGA - UIAGM certified guides Olivia Cussen and John Race. John and Olivia are based in Leavenworth, WA, both certified rock guides and one of only two married couples in the US to be working together as IFMGA certified guides. They have a combined 28 years of guiding experience and have guided locally for 12 years and have guided and led expeditions to many of the highest peaks in the world including Denali Mt. Everest.
