Winter Activities
Sleeping Lady guests are close to some of the finest downhill and cross-country ski areas in the state. Many groomed trails, plus backcountry skiing and snowshoeing, are accessible from Sleeping Lady. Cross-country trail passes for Leavenworth ski trails are available to purchase at the front desk.

For local trail conditions, including a web cam of the Icicle River Trail adjacent to Sleeping Lady, visit Leavenworth Winter Sports Club.

Cross Country Ski Trails:

Icicle River Trail: Ski right outside your door at Sleeping Lady to the popular Icicle River Trail with 7.8 km of groomed trails winding through woods, over bridges, and across open meadows along Icicle Creek. Leavenworth ski trails are groomed using a Bombardier 160 grooming machine with state of the art tiller and renovator, providing great skiing even in icy conditions.

Golf Course Trail: Two miles from Sleeping Lady on Icicle Road, this 8 km hilly trail offers fine views of the Wenatchee River, and the spectacular peaks above Sleeping Lady.

Waterfront Park: Just one block from downtown, this 2 km trail crosses Blackbird Island and offers views of the Wenatchee River, wildlife and surrounding mountains.

Ski Hill Trail: located adjacent to downtown Leavenworth. The 5 km trail climbs up and down through a pine forest, and is lit for night skiing.

Lake Wenatchee Trail: Located 25 minutes away, Lake Wenatchee has 15 km of groomed trails.

Downhill Skiing:

Sleeping Lady is near two exceptional downhill ski areas. Stevens Pass with ten chair lifts, day and night skiing, is 37 miles away. Mission Ridge near Wenatchee, with four chair lifts, is 41 miles. Ski packages are available.

Sleigh Rides: Several area outfitters offer horse-drawn sleigh rides.
