Leavenworth Activities & Attractions

Things to Do for Winter Sports Enthusiasts and Wine Connoisseurs

From shopping and dining in the charming Bavarian-styled village of Leavenworth to hiking, snowshoeing, apple picking and wine tasting throughout the Wenatchee Valley, there’s no shortage of fun things to see, do and experience in North Central Washington.
And Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort places the very best of the area right at your fingertips.

Winter sports enthusiasts will be delighted with the activities on offer here; enjoy skiing, sledding, tubing and even ice climbing during the colder months. Wine connoisseurs can visit the many Leavenworth wineries. When the weather is warm, play a round at Leavenworth Golf Course, sail through the trees on a zipline excursion or float down the river on a kayak.

Of course, if you prefer to stay closer to home, Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort offers a wealth of on-site activities, including self-guided art walks and bird watching. The possibilities are endless right here! Check out our property map before arriving: Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort Property Map.

Leavenworth Winter Sports Club

You'll find plenty of ways to get your heart pumping at this sports club, which offers everything from skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and biking.

Leavenworth Disc Golf

If you've never tried disc golf before, here's your chance! It's played using the same basic rules as in golf, except that competitors throw discs instead of hitting balls with clubs.

Icicle Creek Center for the Arts

Our sister property, Icicle Creek Center for the Arts is a non-profit committed to nurturing the human spirit through the arts. It is a center for arts education and a place to come for inspiration, be it from the outstanding artistic performances or the spectacular mountain setting.

Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum

Take a peek at over 7,000 nutcrackers at this museum, which was opened by Arlene Wagner in 1995. Some nutcrackers are several hundred years old!

Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort Bird Watching

Sleeping Lady has become the ultimate base-camp for birding. Located on the banks of Icicle Creek and adjacent to the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, two of seven sites in the area have been selected by Audubon as some of the best birding hotspots in the state.

Leavenworth Golf Course

With challenging play and unbeatable views of the mountains and the river, Leavenworth Golf Course has established itself as one of the area's top destinations for golf enthusiasts.

Winter Sleigh Rides

Few things convey the spirit of the holidays more than a winter sleigh ride - and our neighbors at Icicle Outfitters offer rides along the river throughout the colder months.
