IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild is the outdoor concert series where America’s most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. A 9-foot Steinway grand piano travels on a flatbed trailer to State and National Parks, urban green spaces, working ranches, and historical sites for classical music concerts that connect people with each landscape.

For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.

About this Landscape

Our concert at Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort takes place in the meadow between the Kingfisher Restaurant and the banks of Icicle Creek. Since the Resort’s purchase by Harriett Bullitt in 1991, all original buildings from the site’s development as a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) Company in the 1930’s have been restored. Sleeping Lady has a deep appreciation for the many lives of its 67-acres, ancestral homeland of the Wenatchi tribe.

Concert FAQs:

Accessibility
A paved path runs from the parking areas to the concert site, followed by a short walk across the meadow.

Seating 
Bring your own chairs or blankets.
No seating provided.

Food & Beverages
Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. Bring a picnic! Two bars will be available within the concert area, serving beverages for purchase.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs (max 6-foot leash) are allowed. Please bring and use waste bags to keep the site clean. 

Smoking
Prohibited at all IN A LANDSCAPE concert sites.

Refunds & Cancellations
All ticket purchases are final. There are no refunds unless IN A LANDSCAPE cancels the performance. The show goes on regardless of weather.
